The search for a 69-year-old man continued today on Placid Lake, according to Missoula County Sheriff’s Office. The man has been missing since Friday afternoon when he had taken his boat out on the lake to do some repairs. The boat was found drifting and unattended not far from where he and his wife were camping on the lake.
A team of at least 25 people from Missoula Search and Rescue and Flathead Search and Rescue searched Saturday and will continue the search until dark this evening. Any anglers or boaters on the lake please be respectful of search efforts and keep your eyes out for this elderly Montana resident.
