Residents, hunters and others traveling in the Lima area should be aware of road closures set to go into effect tomorrow, Oct. 24, at 5 p.m.

The closures were authorized by Beaverhead County because of elk migration which poses a safety hazard to both the elk and the public (especially considering the opening of general deer and elk season this weekend). Elk cross the roads at least twice daily to reach local hayfields. The affected roads include:

  • Reeder Road
  • West Road
  • Chute Canyon (East to West)
  • Munday Lane
  • Little Sheep Creek –NO PARKING

Closures and restrictions will remain in place until lifted by Beaverhead County.
