Gabriel Martinez, of Golden, Colorado, was nominated by Big Hearts Under the Big Sky to receive one of the first of two tags issued under Montana’s new Purple Heart Program. Martinez is a combat-wounded US Marine, double amputee, who definitely did not lose his passion for hunting when he lost his legs while fighting for our freedom.
The 5×5 bull he shot was taken at Mountain Sky Ranch near Emigrant during the 2013 season. Martinez recalled that it was an “awesome hunt” and the biggest five-point he has seen. “No legs, no limits” is right! Nice work, Gabriel!
On behalf of the Montana Outdoor Radio Show, thank you so much for your service and congratulations on bagging this awesome Montana bull!
