Whitefish Winter Carnival and Grand Parade will be this Saturday. The mythology of the Whitefish  Carnival has been going for the 55th year! If it stays this cold, I don’t think anyone will be participating in the Penguin Plunge! Brrr!

Penguin Plunge, City Beach on Whitefish Lake
1:00 PM
St. Charles Pie Social, St. Charles Catholic Church

Beer Barter, After Parade Great Northern Brewery –

As part of the Whitefish Winter Carnival festivities The Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish is hosting The Black Star Barter on February 8th. What would you do or trade for a year’s supply of Black Star beer? What is 52 cases of this crisp, refreshing, double hopped golden lager worth to you? To be a contestant, all you have to do is show up in front of the brewery on Saturday and register your item between 11:00am MST and 1:00pm MST. The Black Star Barter will begin promptly at 4:00pm MST. For more information on The Black Star Barter please visit www.blackstarbeer.com/barter or email

The spectacular fireworks display is a must see. You can cozy up at Ed & Mully’s fireside with a warm drink or get right into the action slopeside. Either way, you’ll be glad that you made it! The show is free and spectators of all ages are encouraged to attend. Hot chocolate and Schnapps will be available slopeside.
