MILES CITY– Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks in cooperation with local authorities recently closed all Fishing Access Sites (FAS) along the Yellowstone River, from Glendive downstream to the North Dakota border due to dangerous conditions caused by extreme flooding and ice jams lodged on shore. This closure includes Black Bridge, Stipek, Intake (lower portion), Elk Island, Seven Sisters, Diamond Willow and Sidney Bridge Fishing Access Sites.

The ice conditions and flooding pose serious threat to public safety. FWP will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
