Celebrate Western Heritage Day This Weekend in Stevensville

Celebrate the way things were down in the Bitterroot this weekend at Western Heritage Day in Stevensville. Events will kick off Fridat with calcutta auction of barnyard game teams, reception and live auction. Chuck wagons for the Chuck Wagon Cook-off will start arriving and be set up by 4pm for judging later in the evening they will host a reception for all wagon sponsors and have pickin’ and grinnin’ around the campfire. Takes place on Main and 5th Street. 

Events will continue on Saturday with the 11 am Parade with cowboys and cowgirls, Native American representation, floats honoring our heritage such ast St. Mary’s Mission. Horses, wagons and more!

There are Arts and Crafts and vendors on 3rd street and side walk sales and open houses throughout the downtown. Tours at Historic St. Mary’s Mission. Barnyard games competition begins at about 1pm and the Chuck Wagons will be ready to serve up the grub at about 1:30 pm. Living History Demonstrations and you might learn to pan for gold! Historic home tours will be running throughout the day. Catch the historic trolley wagon pulled by beautiful Belgian horses and learn the history of Stevensville “Where Montana Began”.
