Montana Fish & Wildlife Parks is seeking proposals from groups or individuals interested in auctioning a 2015 bighorn sheep, moose, mountain goat, deer or elk hunting license to raise conservation funds.

The Fish & Wildlife Commission will consider proposals from wildlife conservation organizations or individuals seeking the opportunity to auction the hunting licenses. The deer and elk licenses may also be offered via lottery ticket sales.

Organizations can retain up to 10 percent of the auction revenue to cover administrative costs.

Last year’s auctions were conducted by the Wild Sheep Foundation, Safari Club International-Great Falls Chapter, the Mule Deer Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Application deadline is July 15.

Send proposals to Montana FWP, Licensing Section, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701. The commission will consider proposals in August.

For more information contact Neal Whitney, business analyst for FWP’s License Bureau, at 406-444-4715, or via email at nwhitney@mt.gov.
