Apparently, experiments by Heidi Appel, an MU Bond Life Sciences Center researcher, and Rex Cocroft, a professor of biological sciences at MU, at the University of Missouri. mark the first time scientists have shown that a plant responds to an ecologically relevant sound in its environment.  So, vegetarians may have something else to consider before they go dissing meat-eaters…
