Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are looking for tips on a deer poaching that occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, Sept. 29 in Haugan behind the 50,000 Silver Dollar Gas Station.

Game wardens responded to a call from an employee that noticed a blood trail in the parking lot and later found a dead white-tailed deer in the field behind the gas station. Wardens found a white-tailed doe that had been shot several times with a small caliber rifle and field dressed. The heart and liver was taken, but all of the meat was left to waste.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
