Hell Creek Ice Fishing Tournament Scheduled for February 7th

If you are waiting for the Hell Creek Ice Fishing Tournament at Fort Peck, then wait no more–because it will take place on February 7th!
Here is some more information from the folks at Hell Creek Marina:
-$75.00 entry fee for six holes. More than one person may fish those six holes, but you can only count one person’s limit.
-No lines ca be set prior to the tournament.
-Montana fishing regulations are in effect.
-Tournament will begin at 8:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. All fish must be weighed in no later than 3:30 pm.
-Prizes are determined by the most pounds of fish.
-Walleye, lake trout, northern pike, perch, and ling are all that count. Walleye must be 14 inches minimum to be weighed.
-All fish must be brought to the office to be weighed. The fish must be fresh, preferably alive. If a fish looks like it was not caught during the tournament, it will not count.
-You can keep your fish, but possession limits apply.
-All contestants must fish within the marked boundaries when applicable.
-All contestants are responsible for their own safety and actions.
-Drinking is allowed, but anyone drunk or disorderly, or behaving in an unsafe manner, will be disqualified.
-Ice houses are allowed.
-Everyone is responsible for picking up their own garbage. No Littering!
-All contestants must be at least 18 years of age, or accompanied by an adult.
-No scattering tip-ups or lines. All lines must be in visible sight of your location. If you move, you must move everything.
-You must stay 60 feet from anyone else’s lines.
-Any conflicts will be settled by the officials. That decision is final.
-There will be big fish pots for walleye, northern pike, and perch. The entry is $10.00 per species.
There will be a lot of great prizes that have been donated this year. Among the prizes are a large Clam Bigfoot Ice House donated by Scheel’s of Billings, a Husqvarna chainsaw from Bobcat of Miles City, a very nice cold weather sleeping bag from Big Bear of BIllings, and an 18 gauge finish stapler kit from Guardian Buildings of Billings, MT. Also, there are many other smaller door prizes from businesses all over the area, such as Jordan, Circle, Miles City, Billings, just to name a few.
