Waterfowl Hunting Heating Up As Temps Drop

As the cold winter weather wraps Montana in a blanket of ice and snow there’s no better time to find big mallards along Montana’s rivers than right now.

On Saturday morning I sat along the Bitterroot River with a single Jones of Stevensville and enjoyed a morning good flights of mallards and teal.

Congrats to Lance on his first drake mallard and teal ! Good shooting Lance!

For an excellent hunting experience grab a buddy and a shot gun and sit on the river bank- it doesn’t require a great deal of gear to find waterfowl  hunting success.

See you out there!
