alexisdanAvid sportsman and retired smoke jumper Dan Helterline, of Plains, and his daughter fished the Middle Thompson over the weekend with Ray Baenen of Libby. The trio had a steady bite most of the day and was able to limit out by late afternoon.  According to Dan, these are the biggest Kokanee that he can recall catching! They were all between 13 and 16 inches and real beauties as far as Salmon go.

The prior weekend, Dan fished Lake Mary Ronan and also caught lots of salmon, but the bite was from 3:00am-6:00am, and the fish were half the size of the Middle Thompson salmon.

Very awesome, guys!  Great work, and keep those pictures coming!
