Any junkie, adrenaline or otherwise, knows all it takes is just a little taste to get you hooked. Lewis and Clark Trail Adventures didn’t give me anything but a fun-filled day on the river, but a trip down the Lochsa was enough to get me hooked.

How did I grow up in Missoula and not know this subculture existed along the Highway 12 corridor between Montana and Idaho?

First day of the season and my new employers talked me into climbing into a raft and taking a ride down the Lochsa. I was a little intimidated at the thought of continuous Class IV Rapids, I mean I book their river trips out of an office, what business do I have in a raft? The guides quickly showed me the ropes including how to paddle; because EVERYONE paddles on the Lochsa. I suited up booties to helmet and just as swift as the water that flows through Lochsa Falls, I was hooked!

If you are a seasoned whitewater veteran or just want to check an adrenaline-filled day on the river off your bucket list; check this exciting subculture out for yourself and join us on the Lochsa
