There is a small group of mostly Montana craftsman who gather every year to celebrate and learn more about one of their favorite topics: building and decorating historic flintlock rifles. The Montana Historical Gunmaker’s Guild recently met in Bozeman to study engraving techniques, admire each other’s latest projects and discuss building techniques.
