In late September Mike Dominick hooked and landed what should be the new Montana State Record for Smallmouth Bass on Fort Peck that weighed in at 7.51 pounds and should be enough to take the Montana State Record.
The current Montana State Record for Smallmouth Bass is 7.4 pounds held by Jacob Fowler caught in Flathead Lake.

“FWPs Beth Ginnings notified me last night that the Director has signed off on my 7.51 smallmouth yesterday, making it the new official state record smallmouth.”
