Rut is officially in full swing across Montana. Hunters are starting to observe bucks with swollen necks and clashes between rival males.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is reporting more mature bucks coming through check stations. Hunters are also describing behavior typical of the rut.
Doe crazed bucks make the last two weeks of the general season a great time to hit the woods. Get out there and cut a tag before it’s too late.
