We are continuing to see the impact of state budget cuts this week. The Daily Inter Lake reported today on how the Flathead Basin Commission’s task to provide a plan for a sticker system for boat launch into Flathead Lake Basin could be in jeopardy. The plan, laid out in HB 622 last legislative session, was to use the stickers in conjunction with a mandatory boat inspection system in order to combat the spread of invasive species.
The estimated cost of the program is $1.5 million at minimum.
