Two new fishing access sites received initial approval last week by the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, according to Montana Untamed.
Both access sites utilizes Montana Department of Transportation property. The first is located along the Yellowstone River 13 miles upriver from Livingston. It’s creation became necessary when silt deposits created a gap between a nearby boat ramp and the river.
The second site is along the Madison River adjacent to the existing Milwaukee Fishing Access Site. The Commission approved a no cost access permit allowing for repair of the FAS road and boat ramp at the location.
