Fisherman visiting Yellowstone National Park will not be allowed to wear felt soled wading boots this season.

The National Park Service banned the use of felt soled boots and waders to help fight the introduction of invasive species. A Tuesday NPS news release said rubber soled boots will be still be allowed as they collect fewer organisms and can be more easily cleaned.

All watercraft will also be subject to inspection for invasive species before launching in the park. This includes wading tubes. For more information click here.
