The debate over firearms has reached a high fever with recent school shootings. Should museums, many of which house firearms collections, or even universities be addressing the issue? A recent symposium in Cody, Wyoming, attracted several firearm museum curators as well as academics who see museums and universities as great places to educate the public about firearms, their role in the U.S. history of manufacturing as well as examples of fine craftsmanship.
