Hunting:

Spring Bear and Spring Turkey are in full swing right now with Turkey ending on May 20th and Bear ending at the end of the month.

Fishing:

Canyon Ferry Lake: The lake is only accessible from the shoreline right now. Water levels on the lake are very low and boat ramp access is not recommended due to the low water levels.  With run off coming up soon, water levels should return to normal but for now stick to the shoreline.

Holter Lake: Mostly de-thawed now and boat access is getting better but please call ahead to the marina and check with them on boat access before coming down.  Water temps are still cold so look to deeper water to catch Walleye and Trout for now.

Hauser: Fishing is starting to pick up in Hauser and boat access is a lot better along Hauser right now.  So if you’re looking to get out on the water try hitting up Hauser.  Remember water temps are cold right now so stick to deeper areas and try trolling a deep spoon on a downrigger or if you’re marking some fish vertical jigging with a night crawler is also very productive.

Missouri River:  The water is open and the boat ramps are clear so it’s time to get the boat on the water and start throwing some lines.  Conditions wise, water flows are way up making wading less than optimal right now—we’d recommend boats or shore casting until the flows drop.  The bite has picked up since last week and guys are having pretty good luck from boats and land. BWOs are starting up and will start picking up in numbers very quickly so make sure to bring some.  Mother’s Day Caddis should be coming in a couple weeks with PMD action picking up later this month as well.

Ski:

Great Divide: Come out for some Cinco De Mayo at Great Divide this Saturday and join us for a fun day of skiing, tacos and tequila from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and our final day of the year.
