The Yellowstone and Shields Rivers are expected to reach flood stages with upcoming warmer weather and storms, according to the National Weather Service.

The Yellowstone is rising rapidly near Livingston. The water is murky and current is ripping so fishing is already a doubtful proposition but anyone venturing to fishing access points should take caution.

While the Shields River and Yellowstone River are nearing minor flood stages, the Boulder is said to be in better shape and is not expected to rise to minor flood levels. Anglers in the area may find more suitable conditions on its banks.
