Darin McMurry from the US Army Corp of engineers at Fort Peck Reservoir by the dam had this to say when montanaoutdoor.com asked him about his prediction on Fort Peck water elevation over the winter and into next spring:
“We are currently at 2241.3 and dropping. We will continue to evacuate water though this winter to our target elevation of 2234 by March 1, 2019. It’s Hard to predict elevation of April/May until we get past snow pack season, say around mid April Even with average snow this winter, we should rise a couple feet next spring to 2236-2237 range”.
