It’s that time again. Time to change our clocks and watches again. November 4th is the time to FALL BACK. This means that it will get dark earlier each evening and light sooner in the morning. So confusing!

We all hate going to and from work in the dark. We need our Vitamin D from sunshine. Longer days just seem to give us more energy.

The shortest and darkest day of the year will be on December 23rd. After that, our days will grow longer by about 5 minutes per day. In the Spring, we will Spring Forward once again.

Some states keep their clocks the same year around. Throw in the changes in time from Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones, and time really changes.  Clock hands can help us visualize the change in times. If you look at the clock you can better understand the change.

If you are a Millennial, and use digital time displays, good luck. If you live on a time zone boundary, things can get really confusing as you head east or west.

Some clocks require a manual change while others change automatically. Trucks and cars need to be adjusted so find your owner’s manual and make the change. Otherwise you will be late for work or worse.

Time to enter our winter caves!
