Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is offering cut firewood for people in the Forsyth area to pick up. This past winter, Fishing Access Site maintenance crews worked on removing hazardous cottonwoods and clearing dead underbrush from throughout the East Rosebud Campground at the Rosebud East FAS.

During the project, crews made piles of cut firewood rounds throughout the campground along the Yellowstone River near Forsyth. This wood is now available to the public for pickup, first-come first-served. The gates to the campground will be unlocked on Friday, April 12.

Wood cutting is not allowed. FWP asks that people only take the rounds that are already cut.
