Bitterroot National Forest Seeking Volunteer Camping Hosts

A variety of volunteer opportunities may be available at any one of our Bitterroot National Forest Service offices. Opportunities range from office settings to field going.

Additionally, the Bitterroot National Forest has many developed campgrounds situated in beautiful settings. Campground hosts play an important role in assisting with the management of these beautiful areas and working with the public. Camp hosts are rewarded with a place to stay during the summer, lasting friendships, and a sense of pride in the work accomplished in making the developed sites safe and communicating with the public about our National Forests.

Below is the Volunteer Application form which you may print out and submit if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.  Please return this form to Tod McKay at the Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor’s Office, 1801 North 1st, Hamilton, MT  59840 or email the form to tgmckay@fs.fed.us.

For those interested in campground hosting opportunities please return the Campground Host Volunteer Application to Erica Strayer at the Darby Ranger District, P.O. Box 388, Darby, MT  59829 or email the form to estrayer@fs.fed.us
