Very cool!  The 25th annual kid’s fishing day on June 8th in Great Falls had approximately 1,100 people in attendance for 2019!  There were about 600 youth and 500 adults at the three-hour event at Wadsworth Pond.

This event took place because of the generosity of volunteers from Walleyes Unlimited, Missouri River Flyfishers, Malmstrom AFB, MT FWP, Boy Scouts, North 40 Outfitters, Sun River Watershed Group and Great Falls North and East Middle School fishing clubs.  Almost 100 people showed up to volunteer at the four “education stations” which included information on fly tying, fish identification, knot tying and casting.  Even cooler, after the kids visited the education stations, they got a free rod and reel combo or a tackle box!

Here’s another example of a community coming together in the name of education and fishing!  Way to go all who helped make the event possible and who attended!
