Six mule deer does and one antelope doe were poached and left to waste near Jordan, likely sometime over the weekend.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 7 Warden Dave Walter said the animals were found close together on private ground just off Steve’s Fork Road in Garfield County, about 10-15 miles west of Jordan.

All of the animals were shot, and the meat was left to waste.
Walter believes the deer were shot Friday night, and the antelope possibly on Sunday. There were livestock in the area.

If anyone has information about this or other poaching events, he or she can contact Walter at 406-853-7600. People may also call 1-800-TIP-MONT and could be eligible for a cash reward.
