Here is some information on this unique invention:
The Chill-N-Reel lets you go fishing without putting your drink down! It’s a hand-line fishing reel on the side of an insulated drink holder, and was invented by Jake Rutledge, an Oklahoma firefighter, while on vacation.
Jake said, “I was standing in the water, looked down, and there were fish everywhere and I was like, ‘man I gotta catch those fish!’”
Of course, because he was on vacation, he didn’t want to put down his drink or draw attention to the “honey hole,” so Jake took some line and tied it to the bottom of a drink insulator and wrapped it around. But his drink kept spilling!
So after vacation he started working on drink holder design that would catch fish and keep his can full. And it became the Chill-N-Reel, the only drink holder you can fish with!
Another cool thing is that it is suitable for all ages to use! As a matter of fact, using it to fish is so easy that you just “simply pitch the line (with bait on the hook) in the water with the logo-side facing away from you and your favorite beverage in the drink insulator, wait, tug when you get a bite, and hand-reel with your fish on! It’s that easy!” The patented Chill-N-Reel comes with 50 ft of 8lb test line pre-wound on the attached reel, a hook, sinker and of course a Chill-N-Reel drink insulator to keep your drink cold during the whole process.
