Last Saturday, US Congressman and Montana Gubernatorial Candidate Greg Gianforte called into the Montana Outdoor Radio from his hunting camp. He was out hunting with his wife Susan Gianforte. She had drawn a antelope tag, and they were just waiting for the sun to come up to see if they could go find one when Greg gave us a call. Even though the weather conditions were not so favorable for antelope hunting, they were still excited to get out there and see what they could get, and Susan indeed found success.  Here is what Greg said about the hunt.

“This mature doe was taken on block management in Phillips County. Susan made about a 300 yard shot with a suppressed 300 win mag. There was a healthy herd of about 30 antelope.  There were a couple of bucks in the herd, but she had a clean shot on this doe. It was about 10 degrees outside but the temp did not seem to bother Susan at all. I am so proud of her. Wishing everyone much hunting success.”

Way to go, Susan!
