There is a cool interactive map on the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks website that people can check out to see where species of fish are distributed in Montana waters. There is an option that shows if and where they are “known or presumed” present, and there is an option that shows if there is an abundance of the selected fish or if they are common or rare. It’s pretty cool if you were wondering what kind of fish you might see in a certain area or if you’re trying to identify a certain type of fish you saw or caught.
