Scott Sundheim, Fort Peck Fishing Outfitter has had a great week catching and releasing walleyes while fishing in the afternoon on Fort Peck with Don Barton and Joe Kaavon. Sundheim pretty much thinks that the big walleyes are transitioning to a post-spawn bite. The walleyes range in length from 21 to 30 inches with the majority of them 27-30 inches. The success has been on a jig tipped with a minnow in 14-16 foot range but also caught fish as shallow as 5 feet and as deep as 18-19 feet. Sundheim recommends to use your electronics and fish the marks
