Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks FWP proposes to develop approximately one acre of land owned by Montana Department of Transportation along the Marias River for the purpose of providing public access to the Marias River and developing a Fishing Access Site.

The proposed site will be named the Marias Crossing Fishing Access Site and is located on the Marias River Approximately 17 miles south of Chester and 33 miles north of Fort Benton, Montana on County Road 223 in Liberty County.

Proposed developments include a single-wide gravel boat ramp, designated gravel parking area, gravel access road, boundary fencing, informational signs and a portable toilet or future installation of a permanent latrine. The site would provide an important, safe access point on the Marias River for all water based recreational users.
