The Bighorn has been fishing great as of late. The nymph bite has been hot, and on the calm days, the fish are looking up for midges and baetis. As far as nymphing goes, the fish are starting to show up in slightly shallower water. Try a 5-6 foot rig. The flies are standard, worms, sows, scuds, and baetis nymphs are all producing. As far as dry flies go, a midge cluster seems to work most of the time. However, when the bwo duns are on the water they may want a parachute baetis or cripple. Streamer fishing has been decent out this way as well. There has been a consistent all day bite, but it hasnt been crazy good yet. Any day now could be the day when the fish turn on to the big flies!
