Fisherman dies on upper Rock Creek

From Granite County Sheriff’s Office:

2:14 P.M. emergency responders were dispatched to Upper Rock Creek, west of Philipsburg (about 5 miles west of the Kyle Bohrnsen bridge), for a report of a fisherman struck by a tree.  A 53 year old Colorado man died as a result of blunt force injuries at the scene.  High winds were reported in the area at the time of the incident.  The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate and the name of the person is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
