Flathead Area Fishing Report by Snappy’s Sport Senter 8.14.21

Flathead Lake – Whitefish are on the MOVE!!  Reports of fish still being caught off of Big Arm, Hatchery bay and Woods Bay. The delta has also been picking up as of this last week! Zimmer Rattle D Zastor are restocked and ready to put fish in the boat.

Flathead River – Fishing has been fairly consistent for Cutthroat trout on mid-size hoppers and/or smaller sized spinners and spoons.

Flathead River Sloughs – Pike fishing has been getting better and better as the season progresses, Buzzbaits and Frogs have been restocked and are ready to find slough sharks!

Lake Mary Ronan – Perch are fishing really well in 18-22ft of water, small glow jigs tipped with worm or maggots has been very effective in front of Camp Tuffit and the State launch.

Loon Lake (Ferndale) – Rainbow trout continue to be very active in the early morning using Powerbait

Echo Lake – Night fishing has been producing some very nice smallmouth bass, Restocked on BACKWATER BAITS!!! Smallie maulers and tube baits are a key to success.

Middle Thompson – Largemouth bass have been chewing up our fresh selection of 6th Sense baits! Come try our new favorite Ridgeworm bait and see for yourself!!

McGregor Lake – Lake Trout are being caught jigging 80-120ft of water in front of the Lodge with white tubes tipped with cutbait.

Lower Stillwater – Perch fishing has continued to be very good using Backwater Baits Anklebiters jigging around the islands.
