The Gallatin Watershed Council and the Gallatin River Task Force have teamed up to host the third annual collaborative Gallatin River Cleanup. During the weekend of August 27th, teams of volunteers will pick up trash all the way form the headwaters to the valley.

Teams in the Bozeman area will cleanup sites on August 27th-29th and then meet at the Story Mill Park on Sunday, August 29th at 1pm for a free lunch and prizes.

We hope to see you there! To sign up for a team in the Big Sky area, contact Isabella at isabella@gallatinrivertaskforce.org.

This is a great opportunity to meet other watershed stewards and help to keep this great river clean. Sadly, the Gallatin is getting loved to death and not everyone understands responsibility. The heavy raft traffic, swimming, fishing, and general use leaves a mark. Trash, litter, and debris from residents, roadways, and irresponsible folks make cleanups important.

We all need to keep the Gallatin and all our open spaces better than we found them.
