The drought conditions are going to have an effect on the future water elevation of Fort Peck Reservoir going forward, according to Darin McMurry Operations Project Manager at the dam on Fort Peck.  “Run-off conditions and current projections for this winter show a drop of 6-7 feet by March 1, 2022.  The lake will decline to an approximate elevation of 2221”.

The current water elevation for the 134 mile reservoir is at 2227.81 feet. Boats can still be launched at most of the boat ramps around the reservoir.
