Have you seen the movie “A River Runs Through It”? Well, the location that was filmed is ON FIRE in the real estate market. Check this out:
The Climbing Arrow Ranch in western Montana might not be a familiar name to many, but to fans of the film “A River Runs Through It” the landscape, buildings, and surrounding vistas are very recognizable. The 80,000-acre ranch was originally owned by the Anderson family who stewarded the land for over 60 years since they purchased it in 1959, raising cattle and generations of their family on the property. Recently the property was sold by descendants of the Anderson family to a private buyer for a wild $130 million! Not only is the property home to filming locations from “A River Runs Through It“, but it also boasts some incredible fly fishing opportunities within its borders. According to the Swan Land Company listing the property is, “Teeming with German browns, cutthroat and rainbow trout, fly fishing on the CA is legendary. The pristine trout waters of the North Fork, Middle Fork, and the main channel of Sixteenmile Creek serpentine through the Francis Unit for over 17 miles, and nearly 3.5 miles of the acclaimed Madison River form the western edge of the Valley Unit, creating a private fishing experience like no other in Montana.”
