HELENA – By order of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, hunting district 500 in south central Montana, as described in the current moose, sheep and goat regulations legal descriptions, will close to the hunting of ALL bighorn sheep one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the district had been met.
