This winter has been pretty amazing so far for snowmobilers, skiers and snowboarders.  That means we have been dumped on with snow.

With the recent winter weather warnings of snow, snow and more snow, you might be wondering what the snowpack is looking like across the state.

Well, here is a summary of what the snow is looking like with the Snow Water Equivalent (SWE)% of Normal as of today:

In addition to the above map, we invite you to check out the following page: https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/mt/snow/products/daily+data+and+maps/daily+state-wide+conditions/

At this website, you will find “real-time mountain snowpack, precipitation, current/future weather, and river conditions. Most items on this page are interactive, allowing the user to view the information inside the frames by scrolling and clicking on regions, basins, or weather stations of interest. Some frames display live images, which update daily, and link to interactive content on another agency’s webpages.”

We hope this information helps you out in any way.  Stay safe out there, and check back to montanaoutdoor.com for more outdoor information!
