GREAT FALLS – If improving your elk calling skills is on your list of things to do before fall hunting seasons arrive, join Babette Eustance, local hunter education instructor and licensed guide for a free seminar on elk vocalization and calling techniques. This “Elk Talk!” seminar will be held at FWP’s regional office on Giant Springs Road from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 13.

Babette will share her knowledge and experience with the vocalizations made by elk, and how, when, and why hunters can use calling to improve their odds to tag an elk this fall. Focusing primarily on diaphragm calls, participants will get plenty of practice time, as well as a free call of their own to take home and use when hunting season finally arrives.  The interactive class will also share other hunting tips on how to be a safe & successful hunter from her 30+ years of experience guiding and hunting in the backcountry of Montana’s Scapegoat Wilderness.

Seats are limited for this free seminar, and advanced registration is required.
