Kootenai Forest: Weasel Fire update

The Weasel Fire, burning 14 miles north of Eureka,  is currently estimated at 155 acres and experienced minimal growth yesterday. A local Type 3 team is still managing the incident with 69 personnel assigned. The fire is located in a steep, remote location.
An official closure order is in effect for NFS Road 319 (Therriault Lakes Road) just past the junction with road #7032 Foundation/Creek Road to provide for public and firefighter safety due to active fire suppression activities.
