The Silver Park Boat Landing will be closed to vehicle access on Saturday, August 20 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the public remembrance for Mayor John Engen. Parks and Recreation encourages floaters use alternative river access points like Jacob’s Island, Bess Reed Park or McCormick Park.

Silver Park Boat Landing is designated as “take-out only.” Launching from Silver Park is not recommended due to multiple hazards downstream including a diversion dam, shallow and braided river channels and multiple in-stream obstacles.

Residents are invited to the celebration of life for Mayor John Engen on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field, Missoula’s civic stadium. Details to be posted atwww.ci.missoula.mt.us.

For more information, phone Missoula Parks and Recreation at 406-721-PARK (7275.)
