Ice conditions are good and improving on both reservoirs. Over 12” are being reported on Fresno and as many as 22” on Nelson. Fresno walleye fishing is good on points and drop-offs, especially at dawn and dusk. Jigging is working as well as salted minnows on tip-ups. Northern fishing with smelt is slow. Walleye fishing on Nelson remains good, especially along weed lines. Jigging and live minnows on tip-ups are working. Spearing for northerns is also good. I talked to Sleeping Buffalo and they have minnows.
