Fishing for Steelhead on the Clearwater River is heating up. This picture shows Tommy Boyle and a huge Hen Egg wagon that he netted on Nov. 30th. Eric Wilcox was his guide and fishing buddy. His knowledge of steelies and all things about fishing is unsurpassed. Eric guides out of Swiftwater Outfitters in Idaho.
Eric has always loved fishing for salmonoids and cut his teeth on many of the great Montana rivers. He was a master guide on the Bighorn, for many seasons. Steelhead just got into his blood. He was hooked on Steelies after his first hook up.
Last year’s run was good, but this year is even better. Bigger fish are becoming the new norm.
The Steelhead season runs until mid-March, so hook up with Eric for a great day of fishing.
