Elk shot, left to waste near Ingomar

MILES CITY – On Nov. 15, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks wardens retrieved the carcass of a bull elk from the dump canister site in Ingomar. The animal had been shot, and the head was removed, but no meat had been taken from the carcass, which was left to waste at the dump site.

Wardens are working through leads and requesting help from the public. Anyone with possible information about the incident is encouraged to visit https://myfwp.mt.gov/fwpPub/tipmont to provide details or call the FWP violation reporting hot line at 1-800-TIP-MONT (and/or Game Warden Logan Moore at 853-7300 or Warden Sergeant Casey Prell at 853-1801). You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
