FWP News: Fish and Wildlife Commission to meet December 14

Training session scheduled for December 13

HELENA – The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will meet Thursday, Dec. 14, at the State Capitol in room 317 and online via Zoom. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be streamed live on the FWP website and YouTube. The public can participate in person.

The commission will take public comment on agenda items for registered commenters both in person and on Zoom. Those who want to make a comment must register on the Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ website, fwp.mt.gov, by noon on Dec. 13.

Public comments are still being accepted on the proposed amendments from Commission Vice Chair Pat Tabor, Commissioner Jeff Burrows and Commissioner Brian Cebull. The comments must be limited narrowly to the content of the amendment and will be accepted via email at FWComm@mt.gov through midnight tonight.

The public comment period for the proposed amendments from Commissioners Susan Brooke and William Lane as well as the sponsored amendment by Chair Lesley Robinson closed Nov. 30.

This training session was suggested by the commission as part of a recent settlement agreement. The session will have no action items and no public comment. It will also be streamed live on the Fish and Wildlife Commission page.
