Over by the pump house there is about 5 inches of solid ice and in the bays there is about 9 inches. The fishing has been pretty good so far. Get out there early as the fishing dies down around 11 am then picks back up around 3. The water is a little off color but should be clearing up here soon. Lots of people out on the lake so get out early!

Here are a few tips for fly fishing Georgetown Lake:

1. Always remember to check the ice before walking out.
2. Dust off the ice hut! Ice fishing season is here!
3. Cover water and be methodical and you’ll catch fish!

Here are a few fly suggestions:

1. Swedish Pimples

2. Maggots

3. Worms

4. Small tube jigs
