Canyon Ferry: The rainbow trout bite continues to provide action.  Shore anglers at Silos, Magpie, Kim’s Marina, Court Sheriff and Shannon were successful while using black nymphs, spawn sacks or worms.  Boat anglers caught rainbows and an occasional walleye around the Silos and from Pond 1 up to Confederate on gold or pink crankbaits.  The north end is producing rainbows around the Outhouse and Cemetery Island while using cowbells or crankbaits. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Hauser: Rainbows are being caught around the boat ramp at York Bridge, the Causeway Bridge, and Black Sandy while using spawn sacks, power bait, egg patterns, wooly buggers, and leech patterns. A few rainbows are being picked up below Canyon Ferry Dam while using plain nightcrawler and marshmallows or marabou jigs. A few walleye are being caught on Lake Helena while trolling crankbaits or bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses.  Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena

Holter: Rainbows are being caught near Departure Point, Log Gulch, the BLM boat ramp near the Dam and the Gates of the Mountains area while using power bait, nightcrawlers, egg patterns, beads, wooly buggers, and pheasant tail nymphs. Trolling cowbells out from Cottonwood Creek and on the lower end of the reservoir is also producing a few rainbows.   Chris Hurley, FWP, Helena
